Hope For The Future will be screened at the Viewfinders International Film Festival For Youth

Armed with their video cameras, 32 students from across Canada travel to Serbia seeking that often illusive goal: to make the world a more peaceful place. Hope for the Future documents the journey of these incredibly intelligent and diverse teens to Belgrade, Serbia, to attend a Youth-to-Youth Conference in March 2005.

Proclaiming themselves as the "Students for Teaching Peace", their inspiration came from an Atlantic Film Festival/ViewFinders screening of Teresa MacInnes and Kent Nason’s affecting documentary Teaching Peace in a Time of War that captured the peaceful schools work of Hetty Van Gurp. Van Gurp invited anyone who could raise
the necessary funds to accompany her on her next trip. These students did. And this is their story.
